An Echo of the Venetian Empire Both the island and town of Hvar is an incredible place! Unfortunately I didn't stay there as long as I would have liked to, but the natural beauty and architecture was amazing. We first docked the boat in Stari Grad (due to rough seas) and spent some time there. From Stari Grad (a very nice little town by the way), we took a bus to Hvar (great views of the countryside). Hvar is a great city to get lost in...there are so many little medieval alleys and arches, and the hike up to the Venetian castle is well worth it (but very tiring!). |
