Preparation. Get a boat. Equip it. Do the planning In the Autumn 2002 I purshased an old timber tug. Built on the islands of Åland 1952. 36 feet. Powered by Fordson Major Diesel. However during my first trip with her the engine brook done. I simply had to use my other boat, Ina, to tug her back to the warf. I managed to purchase another engine, a Volvo Penta TMD40A. During the fall of 2003 I have managed taking the racked engine out. That was a heavy work. Now I am prepering the interior, specificaly the part where to "new" engine will be mounted. The new engine , a Volvo Penta TMD40A, will be in place this spring (2004) and I will use the boat this summer in Stockholm waters to find out how she will behave. Most unfortunate I did not manage to meat this schedule. The engine is now (July 2004) onboard. |
| | Engine on board. New location for the boat. I have moved the boat to a location south of Stockholm. There I will be able to work more efficient with it not having to bring my tools back and forth. |
