Hi!:
My name´s Sergio and (as you can imagine) i´m from Antequera (Malaga-Spain). First of all, i´ll try to do my best with my English but... you have to sorry me about the mistakes... :)
I´m director in my own bussines (Publicity Agency specialized in Internet bussines and applications).
I´m 33, married and have a daughter and i love meet people and discover new places.
I have many places i´d like to go sometime (USA, Mexico, Cuba, Zanzíbar, Italy, ... so many places!!! ) and i were in Egypt in September 2.003 to spent my honeymoon.
Me and my wife love to travel but, we only went to know places in Spain and Portugal and we´d like to go to many other countries.
If you like Antequera or you´ll like to discover it... we will be very pleasure show you and be your tourist guide (for free ;)) ) maybe someday we can go to your country and you´ll do the same ;)

Dolmens... ancient antequerans signs

Menga´s Dolmen

The Menga Dolmen belongs to a complex of 3 dolmens (Menga, Viera and Romeral).
Menga is the bigger and most important of the three.
It´s 25 meters long and 7 metters wide.
It´s a funerary chamber made of vast monolites (one of them is 200 tons).
This dolmen was datted around 2.500 years B.C. and is the only dolmen wich have a few inscriptions IN THE FIRST MONOLITE IN THE ENTRANCE (LEFT HAND).
Dolmens of Antequera are ones of the most important dolmens in Europe.. is a unique complex and they are in Antequera :)

Romeral... other Dolmen in Antequera

This Dolmen is very shocking.
It´s a long corridor to a circular chamber close with a dome and a big stone up.
This Dolmen was made arount 1800 b.C. and you can´t lose the opportunity to visit it If you come to Antequera.
IMPORTANT TIP: this dolmen is not in the Dolmens Complex (there are the Menga and Viera dolmens) and it´s not to close to them.. you will have to go by car down the road wich is beside the dolmens complex... follow straight ahead, cross the industrial park and go left in the roundabout wich is signed with "Sevilla" direction... around 50 mts you will have to turn left again..
Right now, is being remodelating the signs to get there but can be a little confuse and difficult to arrive but.. you have to be sure You will be very happy to do it... !

Nice information about the Dolmen and your town. Hope to visit someday soon!!! Looks very interesting ..... the old stone sites.
