Jaisalmer. This small town surprised me with it wonderful restoration of an ancient Hindu Temple, where the craftsman worked with hand tools much as they might have during the original construction. Another surprise was a Jain priest who served in part as a guide for the temple in which he worked. His English was really quite good, and yet he had never left India to study elsewhere.
