Maastricht, in the south of the province Limburg, is one of the must-see cities in the Netherlands.
Besides all the things to do in Maastricht, I would like to draw your attention to a very interesting fortress, situated about 15 minutes by car from Maastricht in Eben-Emael, Belgium.
Fort Eben-Emael was attacked by the Germans in the beginning of the second world war, on May 10th 1940.
The fort is run by volunteers and is only open one weekend/month. Please check out my Maastricht tip section for more info!
