If you ever read or at least heard about "Gone with the Wind" book by Margaret Mitchell, it is about Atlanta and suburbs of Atlanta. Clayton County, where Scarlett supposedly lived, is located about 20-30 minutes from Atlanta.
Atlanta is a beautiful city -- you will find spectacular skyscrapers, charming Colonial and Victorian houses, plenty of entertainment -- Fox Theatre, Turner Field, Civic Center, Atlanta Ballet -- just to name the few, lots of great restaraunts -- Cheesecake Factory (fancy), Varsity (true American fast food), etc. This list can go on, and on, and on...
The best view of Atlanta is from about Six Flags exit on I-20. It looks like a perfect postcard!!!
The symbol of Atlanta is Phoenix -- symbolizing its rising from the Civil War ashes to a capital of the South.
