Fresh air and few people | Cherie and Michienne at Bryce Canyon. |
We try to experience a different environment with each new travel. We've just begun and hope to continue on a regular basis. For now, our National Parks and surrounding areas are providing us with what we're after: affordable escape with unending discoveries. |

| | Us We have been together for 4 years and have spent nearly every day together since we met. We were and instant hit, something that took both of us by surprise. At the time we met, I was planning on graduate school for photography, out of state. He was in Kansas City as a transplant from Phoenix, as a transplant from Wisconsin. Neither of us planned to remain in KC much longer, but life happens. We have grown together and have been lucky enough to quickly go from surviving to surviving with options.
I never traveled when I was young and Michienne did so frequently. He and his family would travel to a town one hour away from KC for a yearly spiritual event, and he would also travel to Chicago and surrounding towns for the same reason. Each of us has been to Europe once. Michienne went to Bulgaria and Turkey, and me to Holland and England. We have been fortunate to have had the opportunity to travel twice yearly for the last two years. Mountain biking has been a great way to explore the regions we have visited. We can not wait to move to the Southwest and be happier, healthier people! |

| | Cherie I would be happy to live on a mountainside that receives only a little bit of snow per year, has a stream nearby, and is otherwise sunny and mild. I almost forgot. I am somewhat idyllic.
Always a connoisseur of the lesser-known, underground sounds keep us interested. Heavy and rhythmic seem to dominate our likes. Goth, punk, metal, tribal, noise, experimental, anything but the ultra-mainstream. A random sampling of favorites: Neurosis, Clutch, P.J. Harvey, Portishead, Siouxsie and the Creatures, Tool, Sepultura, Dead Can Dance (Lisa Gerrard), Tortoise, Chili Peppers, Scorn, NIN, Kyuss, Massive Attack, Shablai Effect, Kodo, Scanner, and the list goes on. |
Cherie and dogs I will only have Shar-pei! They are truly unique dogs, which means they are easily misunderstood. Hmmm, sounds a bit like Michienne and me. We lost our super sweet Speedy (red dog) in September to Lymphoma. A reminder that life is short and should be so sweet... | | | Speedy, Scooter, and Cherie |

| | Like Peas in a Pod Like us, our cats are like two peas in a pod. Scarily alike, differing where it counts. |
