This is probably Phuket's most renowned temple. It is the only temple I've come across so far that doesn't have a donation box in sight. Strange. The pink granite walls lend an air of grandeur and magnificence quite unlike other Thai temples. Don't forget to patronize the roadside stalls. We couldn't have enough of the ice cream. Mmmm. yummy. Best thing is you don't have to pay extra for the toppings. Just help yourself.

Book tours from Bangkok domestic airport guaranteed the cheapest - we didnt believe them! We used little bar/motorbike hire place down from the Novotel hotel & paid about 800baht (book all your tours at the same time you can always change days later |
