Chatuchak Weekend Market: Weekend Shopping, Grand Palace
  • Tip Rating:
  • When it comes to shopping, I can think no other than the weekend market in Chatuchak which is opened only on Saturdays and Sundays. Lotsa stuffs to buy from handycrafts, household & decorative items, clothes, hand bags and need i say more..of coz more food! The market is really huge with thousands of stalls, 1 day isn't enough to visit the entire place man! If you really like something, don;t think about going back the same stall, u might not be able to find it again. Hehe. Bought some aroma candles and some wooden chopsticks at a pretty good price after all the efforts in bargaining.

Spent my first day visiting the Grand Palace. Not bad for someone who likes culture.

  • The floating market is pretty much at the outskirt. Lotsa handicrafts and take a boat ride along the river. You can eat n drink in the boat while watching the buy-sell activities along the river. About 100 baths per person. Remember to ask the boatman to paddle slowly. Some may just give you a 15 min ride instead of the said 1/2 hour ride.

There's also a crocodile farm on our way back to Bangkok if you like these verocious reptiles.
