So we're back and we had the most amazing trip ever! Thankyou to all of you for your birthday wishes, I had a great birthday there, we didn't actually do anything the day of my birthday because my boyfriend got kinda sick....there is just something in the water down there I swear. Not that we drank the water but we both felt a little off the whole trip. I think the highlight of our trip was the trip to Lovers Beach, and to think we almost missed it because we waited to the last day and the guy at the hotel said they weren't shuttling people over because the tide was too high. We made it though, this is a picture of my boyfriend in front of the enormous waves of the Pacific Coast, notice just his foot prints on the sand, what a beautiful and private beach.
Here is the great pool with waterslide and waterfall at the hotel...the waterslide was the absolute best! I think alot of the adults really got a kick out of it as well, especially around happy hour...these old guys were having competitions on who could make the biggest splash...hilarious!!!
While we were down there on September 16th a hurricane hit about 200 miles south of us, it didn't end up being that big of a deal, I see worse weather here in Seattle but the people at the hotel shut down everything, they spent days with tons of employees putting everything, and I mean everything away, and then after the little bit of wind and 5 minutes of rain they spent the next day putting it all back. Seemed really pointless to me but whatever. it was really fun, this was a picture we took from our view in the pool where we watched the winds rip on the trees and the enormous waves crashing on the beach.
