We entered Mongolia by TransMongolian train from Beijing. It was strange, couldn't go to toalet (doors are locked) and couse of bogie-changing. Trip was awsome, beautiful landscapes, desert Gobi, vast plains, numerous hills, unpopulated countryside....and of course fun/crazy people in train make this trip special |

| | Ulaan Baatar Nice city, almost non-asian in feeling. Not so many things to see but outside of the city nature is well preserved and absolutley MUST to go around. Sightseeing in UB: Gandan Khiid; Winter palace of the Bogd Khaan; Sukhbaatar square; Zaisan memorial. Try to be there during the Naadam festival, we came week after unfortunatly. |
Gorkhi-Terelj National Park 80km northeast from UB, hiking, rock-climbing, rafting, horse riding, or just sittin' and watching spectacular scenery around you. | | |
