Amden Travel Guide: 2 reviews and 12 photos
900 metres above sea level and above the Walensee lies a small village called Amden. It looks small but has actually a size of 43km2! There are around 1500 citizen and a bunch of Tourists. It's a nice spot for hiking in summer and skiing in winter.
I always spend some time up there in my parents cottage house, whenever I need a timeout from daily life. And it's definitely peacefull up there.
- Pros:Peacefull and pretty village
- Cons:Takes a while to get there
- In a nutshell:Small and pretty swiss village

There is a bus from the "Autobetrieb Weesen-Amden" which is going from Ziegelbruecke to Weesen and then all the way up... more travel advice
