Yook-Sam (63) Building: Yuksam Building (DLI 63)
  • Tip Rating:
  • This building has despite its name only 60 floors. They just counted the 3 floors in the basement as well. It used to be Korea's tallest building with its 249 metres. It was built 1985.

You can go up to the observatory desk and have a great view over Hanriver and Seoul Tower.

Namsan (South Mountain) and Seoul Tower: Seoul Tower
  • Tip Rating:
  • Seoul Namsan (South Mountain) and Seoul Tower
  • view from the Riverbank

  • We went up to Seoul Tower as it was foggy in Seoul. The view wasn't that nice then... so I recommend to go up to Seoul Tower when the sun is shining.

The tower is 262 metres high and rises above Namsan Park. You can spot the tower from almost everywhere in the city.

    Nanta: Nanta
  • Tip Rating:
  • Touring all over the world under the name of Cookin', Nanta has its origin in Korea.

The show is still running in Seoul.

It's kinda percussion-show about Cooking and REALLY funny.

You don't need to speak korean to understand the meaning.

Just watch out that you don't seat at the aisle.... as a western guy you might be picked to go on stage....

Korean War Memorial: Huge Museum about War History
  • Tip Rating: [Not enough ratings yet]
  • The War Memorial of Korea is a very huge and interesting museum in Seoul. It covers not only the Korean War but also other wars where Koreans were involved.

Take enough time to go around all over the Museum. And believe me, 2 hours is not enough. Not enough by far. I suggest at least 4 hours.

    Entrance fee is 3'000 Won.

Hard Rock Cafe Seoul was awful. The new one is struggling to open because of funds and fighting between the Korean investors and the head office.

Adrian, my husband would probably agree with you on the War Museum bit. He loved it as much as you did!!

hey man, I'm here in seoul and I forgot how to get to the hard rock cafe. Could you tell me which subway line gets me the closest and then how far by cab?

Cool pages on Korea. Like the pics from Jeju-Do. I'm looking forward to the "low-rise" toilets!
