This Oracle was considered Sacred to Athenians and Spartans alike as well as Corinthians, Argives, and people of Thebes. Even King Croesus sent an embassy to this place to ask if he should invade Persia. The Romans sent an embassy early on in their history. The historical significance of this place can not be over stated.
