Getting TO/AROUND: In Schiphol there is a train station that will take you right in the middle of Amsterdam. It is a quick trip from airport to city centre, but make sure you get a direct train - it's faster and more confortable. A return ticket is 6euros. You can find information about train schedule on Schiphol website http://www.schiphol.nl/ .

Getting TO/AROUND: Since Amsterdam is a plain city, cycling around is an easy and healthy option for everybody, even those who don't practice any sport regularly. Through the city you can see bicycles "parked" in so many places and major streets have proper lanes for bicycles, making cycling a safe activity. This is, in fact, a good option for moving around faster. Although photo is dark it shows a bicycle lane on main street.

Getting TO/AROUND: In Centraal Station there are several trams that might take you to places around Amsterdam. Amsterdam seems to be a city that as an efficient transportation network. All through the city you will see the tram lines up there (getting on the way of camera and photos), so you might get in and out and move around faster and effortlessly.

Getting TO/AROUND: Since Amsterdam's a city with channels, taking a boat is a fast and easy way to move around, providing you a beautiful overview of the city. In Centraal Station, as you leave the train there are plenty of boats available.
