Favorite Thing: Aveiro is a paradise for those who enjoy photography. Each time I visit Aveiro I always bring home lots of photos. My favourite spots to shoot while in Aveiro are:
- the Canal Central: boats and houses reflect on the channels water, providing wonderful reflections;
- Art Nouveaux houses: if you enjoy shooting details and enjoy this architectural style well, what else may I say?
- Costa Nova: the typical houses make major opportunities for photos; dont miss their graphic patterns;
- Costa Nova: the beautiful beaches, mainly by the end of the day with warm and saturated colours and also the sunsets on the sea, of course;
- Lighthouse: this is a favourite of mine, as I enjoy shooting lighthouses and this one is very nice.
There is another place Id recommend to shoot while in Aveiro, although I have never been there yet: the football stadium. This stadium was built for the European Championship (Euro 2004) and it is very colourful. Ive seen fantastic photos of graphic patterns shoot here, and Im sure I wont miss it next time I visit Aveiro.

Favorite Thing: Aveiro is situated on the North of Portugal:
. about 250 km north of Lisbon
. about 70 km south of Porto
Aveiro is the capital city of the District, and accesses are good both by car (highway both from Lisbon and Porto) and by train or bus (also departing from the previously mentioned main cities).
