    • Strolling around the illuminated city centre at night is very nice. Mainly, if you are lucky enough with the weather as it was our case – although we visited in middle February and this is a mountain area, the temperature was not too low, which allowed us some nice walks through the city, even with small children. In front of the City Hall you will find a square where there is café with open air tables, ideal for adults to sit and talk over some drink, while little children run around and play in the large square.

    • As I mentioned previously, we were travelling with small children which didn’t allow us much nightlife, … But still, the hotel has a cosy bar with snooker tables. Most people in the hotel’s bar where couples with children, so children all gathered and played together while parents could play some snooker or have a drink. But beware: if you ask for a drink, make sure is comes straight from the bottle, as I ordered a caipiroska (vodka, lime, sugar and ice) and I must confess it was the worse I’ve ever had – instead of lime (which they hadn’t) they used lemon.

    • In the city centre, by the City Hall, there is an interesting building that is the “Cine-teatro” – a mixture of cinema and theatre (it is the tall building in the photo). This building, which is under the refurbishment program I mentioned previously, displays movies and also other spectacles such as dancing and ballet.
