Mélia Confort D. Maria is a very comfortable 3 star hotel, located outside the historical city centre, in residential neighbourhoods. Service is ok. Our room had a great view towards the mountain and although it faced a main road, there was absolutely no noise inside the room (this photo was taken from our bedroom, in the morning). The hotel has a heated swimming pool that looked quite good, so if you're staying at this hotel, even though it is winter, don't forget your swimming suit.
