Johnson County Courthouse - built in 1881

Welcome to the small town with the big heart!

Franklin, Indiana is located about 20 minutes south of Indianapolis. There's really not much to do here. It has all the basic necessities for every day living. There are some great old architectural wonders throughout the town. The courthouse is very nice...just recently renovated. The people are warm and down to earth. Stop by our small pubs downtown for a drink.

Pros and Cons

Pros:Quiet, friendly, great location for suburban living
Cons:Not much to do for the mover and shaker
In a nutshell:Not just a cornfield with hicks...bad misconception...intelligent small college town.
