"Prescott - a true Southwestern town" Prescott by GlobalMatt

Prescott, Arizona is about 2 hours northwest of Phoenix. We decided to visit this town due to its location and quaint shopping opportunities. The climate here is ideal. It is a bit higher up in elevation...so it doesn't get as hot as the desert climate of Phoenix. This was our first stop before heading east through the old mining town of Jerome...and then, ultimately...Sedona.

Here's a shot in the downtown square where the courthouse is located. The old Southwestern architecture in this town was really cool.

Well...I just had to get a shot of my favorite place in town...named after me, of course. :-)

• Cons:Small town blues if you don't like small towns
• In a nutshell:Worth a visit if you're in the area...great old town
