"MELBOURNE - AUSSIE CHARM" Melbourne by GlobalMatt

I visited Melbourne, Victoria's main city and arts & culture center of Australia for three days. I love this town. It has all the diversity and heartbeat of a major metropolis with the old world charm and comfort of a laid back town. It's comparable to Sydney without the hustle and bustle...very lived in and very comfortable.

The Colonial Tramcar Restaurant

There are regular passenger trams and restaurant trams that traverse most of the downtown areas of Melbourne...a unique and fun way to see the city. This is the Colonial Tramcar Restaurant where I enjoyed lunch my first day in Melbourne.

Downtown Melbourne along the Yarra River

One of the things that impressed me the most about Melbourne was the design of the city along the Yarra River, which flows through Melbourne. The riverfront areas are lined with hotels, restaurants, & shops. Everything is quite safe and easy to walk.

• Pros:Everything you would want out of a big city...minus the overcrowding
• Cons:There are no cons...except maybe the fuel prices are outrageous
• In a nutshell:A charming, cozy city with everything for everyone
