A quite nice hotel in central Kigali with two buildings and about 40 rooms. Rooms in the main building are somewhat more expensive the higher the floors get than the smaller rooms in the other house. Price Range: 10-25 EUR.
Unique Qualities: Pleasant terrace with nice view over the city to sit and have breakfast. Good value for money. They have their own internet lounge and transport to the airport.

Directions: When you enter the city centre coming from the north mounting a steep hill, turn right about 100 m before you reach the first big roundabout into a dirt road. Continue about 100 m and find Hotel Okapi on the right side.

This lodge is situated next to lake Kivu outside of Kibuye. It is a good budget alternative to the overpriced and (as bonobo stated it...) posh Kibuye Guest House. The Rooms are very big and clean. Only draw-back is that no alcohol is served because it is church-run. But this neglectable.... Prices are around 10 EUR/Room.
Unique Qualities: Location is almost perfect with the lake nearby.

Very nice and inexpensive Hotel in the lower part of Gisenyi, about 200m from the waterfront.
Unique Qualities: Beautiful terrace to have breakfast, decent rooms, nice and helpful staff
