A couple of friends and I (about 11 in total), decided that we were going to brave the Gauley River this year. The Gauley is located near Fayetteville WV. It is divided into 2 parts, the Upper and the Lower Gauley. During a few weekends in the fall, the engineer at the Summerville Dam release water into the river to double the water flow and turning it into a worldclass white water roller coaster.
