During your visit to Lahore better to stay in the old city, to see the real culture of Lahoris and the vivacity of the walled city.
For dinner I would recommend you to go to Food street ( Gawalmandi) to enjoy the cooking repertoire of the Lahoris and the food culture in Lahore, as Lahore is pretty alive at night.
Besides barbecue you better try the traditional Kashmiri Chai.

Food street, gawalmandi, Lahore, the ambience and food's superb, try that. In Islamabad, Melody Food park, close to Abparra market. Rawalpindi, in Saddar, Jehangir Balti's restaurant. Peshswar, if you're a non veg, then try Namakmandi, bar-be-que, mutton karahi etc., one of the most delicious and tasty meat's cooked here.
