Old temple where built in 2422 BE. The ordination hall or Ubosot built in 2456 BE. By Jao Phraya Abhaya Bhubesra ,an important commander in Eastern Area of Thailand.
The Ubosot was built in Thai , Chinese ,Europe and Khmer style which ‘ve got an influence from Phra Jao Chang Peuk temple in Pratabong , Cambodia. Ubosot housed Luang Por Abhaya as the main buddha image ,this image was built in 2464 B.E. in the riegn of King Rama VI ,designed by Somdej Krom Phraya Damrong Rajanupap, prince of King Rama V. With the gesture of Abhaya which means forgive.
On the East located a temple museum building where built in Colonial style. Once , it was a Tripitaka school and now ,donated for local museum. Inside, represented local things for monks and people . Visit there may take you back to the past time of Prachinburi.
Open hall with ginger bread carving style or so calls Sala Khanom Pang Khing. This art style was so poppular in the reign of King Rama VI – VII. I really enjoy to sit there , look at the ubosot and surround. Humm… feel like turn back time.
There’re volunteer student guides who welcome all tourists and for practice their language.
