Parfait Paris

I once lived here...

Yes...I was lucky enough to say, that Paris, France was my home!! Well, it was home away from home.

Just last year, I was a student in Paris, on an exchange for one year, studying Economics at the Sorbonne...it was an absolutely awesome experience and I am soooo greatful that I was selected to go to Paris. Ever since I went to Paris as a youngster, I have been in awe of this amazing city, and for a short while, I could call it home!

There is sooo much to do in Paris, and even after a year, I was still a tourist at heart!! I was able to partake in all the tourist sites as well as share some tips for those of you who will stay here longer...so welcome to my pages!

Two special visits

I have been to Paris twice before moving here and both times I have thought it was absolutely pretty!!

The first time I went was late in the year of 1998 with my mum, dad and brother. We went only for the weekend, I think I had Teachers training day...hmmm...but it was nice to go, as it was my first trip to Europe that I was old enough to remember!!

The second time I went was with school. This was great, but also scary, as it was the first time I went without my parents!!

1, 2, 3 awwwwwwwww

Both times I went, I could not speak much french except for 'excusez-moi, anglais?', which in my head meant 'excuse me, do you speak english?'. It doesn't!! But now that I am practically fluent in French, I am sure I will enjoy myself even more!!

Paris is surrounded by so much culture its unbelievable!! There is something to see in practically every street!

I hope this is just a start to your wonderful Paris insights. I bought a ticket to the 3rd level of the Eiffel, but acrophobia forced me off at the 2nd level! Chicken I guess.
