If you are on a cheap budget, there a quite literally, numerous hotels to choose from around the Queensway/Lancaster Gate area of London. Anything from £19 to £28 a night depending on what you want. You have to be very selective though and make sure you check out the room first before you sign anything! Some places are just down right dodgey, stinky and aren't fit to house people! So look around and be prepared to sift!

Unique Qualities: Having so many to choose from and being so close to the West End are the only advantages about these places. You can take the number 94 bus from Holland Park Road right up to Oxford Circus and Picadilly Circus. Plus there is a mall and supermarket in Queensway, along with many restaurants, shops and a movie theatre complex. Not my favourite area of London but it's only a stones throw from Hyde Park and all the major attractions.

Directions: Just catch the tube to Queensway, get out onto Holland Park Road, walk up towards the city and then down any of the side streets. You'll find loads of hotels around this area for all sorts of budgets!
