Panteli. A small fishing village After spending one night on Rhodes, we knew we had to get out. We ending up going to Leros, and it was the best part of the trip. Virtually tourist-free, and certainly American-free, we fell in love with this charming little island. |
| | Beaches Leros doesn't have the smoothest of beaches. Compared to Naxos, or other sandy beaches, it was a little tough to get used to the craggy beaches here, but the water was absolutely gorgeous. |
| | boats This is what Leros is all about. Fishing. The locals have been doing it for centuries. |

nickandchris Mon Jun 20, 2005 17:10 UTC Nice to see Leros. It's many years since we "did" Leros. We stayed in Pantelli and loved it. Maybe we will return one day. | Elenitsa Thu Jun 17, 2004 16:51 UTC Thank you - I no longer have any photos of Leros - last went there in 1991!! Looks like its hasn't changed much! Iused to love just sitting in a cafe in Platanos and watching what seemed like the whole island go past. Thanks again! | XenoHumph Tue Oct 21, 2003 18:28 UTC Beautiful! | Irine_29 Fri Oct 3, 2003 20:52 UTC this page, brings a new prospective to a very misunderstood greek destination. happy to see those lovely images of the island here! |
