Restaurant Name: The Troubadour
This place has the nicest ambience, despite crusty waitstuff and food that is not fantastic. Its great for a coffee, a nice belgian beer, a cocktail, lots of cigarettes and long chat with a dear friend or two...or three...The decor is wonderfully cluttered (its great if you have run out of things to talk about as there is actually something interesting on the wall/ceiling to stare at). There are also events that happen in the downstairs venue, like poetry readings, music...and a cute little back garden which on sunny days is warmer than other places in grey chilly london, cause it is protected from the wind.
Favorite Dish: food is never fantastic here, but they have tasty enough snacks like homous, soup, salads...some deserts...

Restaurant Name: Blah Blah Blah
This restaurant has a chilled out, if somewhat snotty ambience. Dont be turned off though, the food is amazing and not that expensive (by London standards...which means that it still costs an arm and a leg!). Every time i go i am amazed by the wonderful yumminess of the food, and the menu is constantly being updated with new dishes. Oh yeah, and you can bring your own wine (they charge corkage). also - make a reservation (its a small place, and very popular)
Favorite Dish: Everything I have tried has been amazing. You just have to go and try it yourself. there are no words to describe the yumminess.

Restaurant Name: Wagamamas
This place has a very unique approach, which can be a bit overwhelming at times, but the food is excellent and cheap (by london standards). The set up is cafeteria style, the place is huge, the wait staff are a bit curt and they run around like chickens with their heads cut off, but really the amai udon is delish and it will fill you up.
