The handweaving mill at Avoca

One of the things that impressed me about Ireland was the abundance of industries in the country. Even though some are small they seem to evoke the very essence of the land itself.

Pick out your scarf

At the mill you can watch the wool being made into fabric that is then made into scarves and other items of clothing. These can be purchased in the gift store.

Marcia, I like to walk through cemetaries too. I like to say the person's name outloud so in someway they are gone but not forgotten. Great pages!

I would be interested in knowing more about the meanings of celtic crosses and other symbols used in the Irish cemetaries. It's very interesting. Our guide did not take us to an Irish cemetary.
