Georgia is south of the Caucasus and one of the former Soviet republics...it's a very nice travel destination, although some regions (e.g. Abkhazia, Pankisi etc.) should be avoided. Gergian hospitality is great, and so is the culture and countryside. When travelling Georgia, one will need lots of time...transportation is extremely slow (average speed of busses and trains is less then 20 miles/hour!). |
