A top U.S. vacation destination

Central Florida, including the Orlando area, is a place frequented by American families during holidays and breaks. With its close proximity to beaches, sunny and warm weather, and many wonderful attractions and theme parks, Orlando is a top U.S. vacation destination. Many come here to visit Walt Disney World in Lake Buena Vista just outside of Orlando, including its four theme parks as well as its water parks, shopping, dining, and entertainment areas. Universal Orlando is another popular resort, consisting of two theme parks and its festive CityWalk. Finally, SeaWorld park is also a favorite. There are also many interesting attractions, dinner shows, entertainment, shopping, and dining opportunities all over Orlando. In particular, International Drive has lots of stuff along it and nearby. Staying in a hotel or motel on International Drive is a pretty good choice, although U.S. Highway 192 in Kissimmee also has a lot of hotel and motel options as well as shopping and dining opportunities.

Earlier Visits to Orlando

Orlando is a frequent place we visit. When I was young, I've been to Orlando and central Florida several times, all of them during the winter break and Christmas holiday (can't remember but it was like 1997, 1998, and 1999). In 1997, it was the first time I visited Walt Disney World; I was very excited. We visited the Magic Kingdom, Epcot Center, and MGM Studios (Animal Kingdom wasn't completed yet). We also visited Sea World and Kennedy Space Center. In the later two years we visited Universal Studios, Animal Kingdom, Islands of Adventure, and many others. These attractive theme parks make everyone want to travel back to Orlando again and again.

Enjoy Orlando and central Florida!
