| A view of Santa Barbara from the Courthouse |
|
| | Santa Barbara County The beautiful coastal city and county of Santa Barbara offers you a comfortable and fun experience outside of the hustle and bustle of Los Angeles. Besides the beautiful beaches this county offers, Santa Barbara has some very interesting and historic attractions. Mission Santa Barbara is a large mission, and often refered as the "Queen of the Missions". The historic Santa Barbara County Courthouse is also an attraction, and it is where you can get a good view of Santa Barbara from the top of the tower. |
Other attractions include the Santa Barbara Museum of Art which has some nice art exhibits, and State Street, which is the city's main street. This street in downtown Santa Barbara is extremely festive, and it has a lot of stores, hotels, and restaurants. The architecture along this street is also pretty unique. Just outside of downtown Santa Barbara you can find the campus of the University of California - Santa Barbara, located right by the ocean! Driving west of U.S. Highway 101, be sure to stop in the town of Solvang, a Danish village with Danish architecture, food, stores, and people. This village is a must-see if you are coming to this area. Enjoy Santa Barbara County! | | |
