The main attraction in the city is the beautiful mission located downtown. The streets of the city itself are also worth a stroll. There are lots of little shops, cafes, and restaurants. The city is also home to the California Polytechnic State University. There are probably also a lot of wine tasting opportunities in the area as well. San Luis Obispo County is also home to Hearst Castle, located by the coast northwest of San Luis Obispo.
