| | Welcome to Florence, one of the best cities in Italy. Throughout high school and now college, I have studied lots of knowledge that had something to do with this city. In my art class in high school I have studied Michelangelo's David and his late Pieta. I have studied in my music class everything about the Florentine church music and changes that occurred during the Renaissance. Now I have seen it all. I have now the true Florentine Experience. |
In Florence be sure to visit the Uffizi Gallery which hosts tons and tons of famous art works by famous artists. The real David is hosted at the Academy of Fine Arts. Also be sure to visit the Duomo and the museum behind it. Enjoy delicious ice cream in Florence and have good Italian food at a fine restaurant. All attractions are within walking distance from the train station. | | |

Thanks for presenting lovely Florence so beautifully. | Geisha_Girl Mon Aug 18, 2003 00:35 UTC The 1st time I saw DAVID at the Accademia I was speechless w/ tears in my eyes. When you study a work of art such as that for so many years you can never really understand its true beauty until you see it up close...every fine detail...with your own eyes. | keeweechic Thu Aug 7, 2003 05:15 UTC This is my favourite city in Italy... you have provided very useful information as well as the wonderful images that the city deserves. Wonderful travelogue... a great visit. |
