Sorrento is located in southern Italy, not far from Naples. It is a small ocean city that draws a lot of visitors to enjoy the sunny beaches. The city offers a lot of great restaurants and accommodations. Shop along the narrow streets of downtown and head to the coastline to get a great view of the sea.

Sorrento is reachable by train, boat, or car. The Circumvesuviana train offers a cheap ride from Naples. The train also stops at nearby Pompei, which is another place for a visitor to stop by. The trip from Naples to Sorrento takes approximately less than an hour. To get a picture perfect view of the sea and the coastline, ride the boat from Naples to Sorrento, and the trip takes approximately 45 minutes.

The best thing I saw in Sorrento was definitely the ocean views. Never saw a beach but lots of people on piers over the water. We did have a nice lunch here & purchased souvenirs. Great transportation tips!
