Moravsky Kras Travel Guide: 11 reviews and 26 photos

Punkva cave in the Moravsky Kres area is a spactacular cave, mostly due to the combination of a nice cave and an underground river/lake. The cave itself is interesting and well preserved.
It is well worth the while to make some photos, and i recommend to try and make them without a flash using a small tripod. See the attached photo.

The auto road and pedestrian road leading to the Punkva cave is a very nice road, going through a big forest. It is recommended to go to the cave by foot, taking advantage of the surrounding. For those in a hurry, you can take the tourist train.

It is logisticaly dificult. You can get there by train to Blansko and than to choose a bus. http://jizdnirady.idnes.cz/vlaky/spojeni/
From Brno you can go also with this travel agency.
