So much to explore!

by tommix - last update: Oct 2, 2004

somewhere between Erzurum and Malatya
Are you going to Turkey? Where? Izmir or Antalya? - before my trip to Turkey I heard this kind of question so many times. But the Turkey it's not only the seaside and the beaches. It's a so huge, in big part mountain country, with so much to explore! From armenian and gregorian churches in the east, beautiful Seljuk monuments in the center to captivating city of Istanbul in the west...
Only one advice - take your time! :)

As an apetizer you can look at my pages on Ishan or Dörtkilise.

Pros:"beauty and diversity of country, relatively cheap prices, and great cuisine!"
Cons:"distances and crazy drivers!"
In A Nutshell:"Gorgeous beaches, monuments, landscapes - everybody can find here something for himself!"

Great start. Very accurate intro and fantastic off the beaten tips. Haha, I bought narguileh in Turkey... didn't use for years though :-)

Indeed, there is so much to explore in this magical land - now am at a loss where to go myself. The town of Divirigi looks enchanting, and must be worth a visit. Thanks, Tomasz.
