"Another hidden treasure" Ishan Koyu by tommix

Ishan Koyu Travel Guide: 2 reviews and 11 photos

Ishan is a tiny mountain village, close to the road between Yusufeli and Olur. To get there you need to have a car, and not to be afraid to climb almost 7 kilometers of a steep road carved out in the mountainside.
But it worth all the efforts. Beside a breathtaking location of village itself you will find there one of the most beautyful old gregorian churches of the region!
Don't miss the pictures in my travelogue. And if you are interested by other remains of Georgian architecture please have also a look on my Dörtkilise and Erzurum Ili
pages.
