Nightlife Spot: Dos Gardenias
Without any doubt it’s my favourite place in Santiago. When I am in that city you can find me here almost every night! Thanks to Manuel and Marcelo (father and son), the owners of the place, Dos Gardenias has a unique atmosphere. And they are serving a very tasteful Caipirinha and the best Mojito in the town! Bolivian beer Paceña is also a very good pick! As well as the good choice of Chilean wines! Dos Gardenias is basically a Cuban bar – almost every night you can hear here a very good live music, very often Cuban style. Or Brazilian or Chilean… Anyway good music! So good that it’s not unusual that people starts to dance between tables! It’s also a meeting place of young people of Santiago and expats, or Spanish language students. For me a visit there is a must!

Nightlife Spot: La Casa en el Aire
They call themselves Arte Bar and I think it’s a very appropriate definition! It’s not only a bar where you can drink and eat – it’s also an art gallery specialized in photography. Walls are always full of interesting pictures. It’s also a place where you can listen to live music. Concerts in La Casa en el Aire are every day, except Wednesdays. Live music starts at 10:30 pm (Fridays and Saturdays one hour later). Wednesday is usually dedicated to literature, with young poets and writers presenting their work. And they are serving Paceña and Kunstmann - two brands of very good beer! And vines from famous chilean Concha y Torro and Undurraga wineyards!
