 There are some good and interesting places to shop for chilean craft in Parque Forestal neighboorhood- ONa (www.onachile.cl), El Observatorio de lastarria (www.elobservatorio.cl) and CUENCO (www.cuenco.cl). enjoy!

 Just back from Chile, took your advice and went to Pueblito Los Dominicos, it was all you said it was, plus the handicrafts were numerous, worth the trip,we caught the subway to Escuela Militar and then a Taxi, 2000 pesos each way..
