The only reason to go to Dambulla is the cave temple. But it's enough. And the city is located in the very center of Sri Lanka, on the way to Polonnaruwa, Sigiriya etc. So you don't have any excuse to not visit it! :)

Dambulla is an amazing place - it was probably the best place I visited during my trip to Sri Lanka. Would love to go there again. Do you have more photos?
