What's on offer?

The coast line around the Welsh Gower peninsula is well defined by cliffs and sandy beaches. There are four bays to visit; Oxwich Bay, Port Eynon Bay, Rhossili Bay, and Broughton Bay.

Rhossili Bay offers good vehicle parking from where you may take a number of scenic walks. Either along the cliff tops or if you are able and feeling up to it, down a long and steep flight of stairs and onto the 3 mile beach below. There are a few shops in Rhossili where you may purchase refreshments and something to eat, but I've enjoyed a picnic out the back of the car many times.

Worms Head

If you are adventurous you can at low tide walk across the rock pools at sea level and out to Worms Head. Although a visit to the small Tourist Information building is just as entertaining if you are unable to scale the steep slopes down to the rock pools below.

The rock fields provide homes to a variety of small sea life. Note also the high tide line which will completely isolate you from the mainland if you get caught out. So if you do venture out onto the head then heed the warning signs before you go.

Wind Sports

Rhossili offers ideal Paragliding slopes along the Westward facing Rhossili Downs. There is also opportunity for Kiteboarding and other wind powered sports.
