Almonds, olives & citrus fruit

The village is set in a valley, having the lower mountain slopes terraced for growing mainly almonds, and citrus fruit. They also grow olives here.
The almonds are harvested and are still dried on the pavements, in the traditional way.
The citrus fruits are sent to markets in the region.

The Plaza Mayor, with its church and garden infront, is the picturesque centre. There is a drinking fountain in the middle, and palm trees at the corners. The old Manor House stood
in the North West corner, and is now occupied by four houses.
The main road is Calle Denia, running from Pedregueur to Alcalali and Jalon.

The Bar Emilio, in the Plaza, provides refreshments and tapas.
The Caseta de la Llosa, is a restaurant, on Calle Denia.

There are peaceful walks in the mountain terraces, and climbing available in the area.

Cycling is a popular activity in this area, and is used by professionals to do their training.

Greenwich Meridian

Before you enter the village from the direction of Pedreguer. There is a monument at the side of the road, which marks the position of the zero degree meridian line that starts in Greenwich, London.
