My first weekend away in Ireland on my own was to Tralee in County Kerry, Ireland in 2003. I stayed at the Brandon Hotel with a friend for two nights. The hotel was fabulous, staff great and food was really good. I got to know some really great people who are still my mates to this day. The nightlife and shopping life in Tralee is really great...there is so much to do there. I have been back to Tralee four times since then and still love the place as much as I did when I first arrived.Other places that I have been to and stayed over in were Limerick City, Bantry and Kinsale. I especially loved Bantry and Kinsale as it overlooked the ocean...which I love. The food was brilliant in both hotels and just been there in both places relaxed me alot.
Outside of Ireland, I have been to Malta in 2005. I so want to go back there again in a few years..maybe even to marry there. The Plaza Hotel was a standard hotel but had a really great atmosphere to it.
