Capital of the U.S. - Washington D.C.

Many a U.S. school child comes here on a spring school field trip. I did when I was in H.S. -- a mere lifetime ago. That is when I did the real tourist spots.

Now when I am in Washington D.C. it is usually for a convention and I only get out of the hotel for a little bit. Still I have a few tips and photos that I thought I would share.

I am sure others have comprehensive sites if that is what you need so I will not make any attempt at that here.

Pros and Cons
  • Pros:Spring is here 4 to 6 weeks ahead of Vermont
  • Cons:The steamy heat of July or August
  • In a nutshell:"A Capitial Place " to spend a week!!

    Nice page! I hope to get there at least once this October, but the second visit may be a long way away, so I have to try to do it all in one shot!
