Dornoch Hotel: Room With a View

We had booked a room with a sea view at an extra charge of approximately £10.00 which was well worth it.

The room was very spacious with a window at the front and 2 side windows. This was the view from the front window.

Dornoch Hotel: Victorian Hotel

We stayed in the Dornoch Hotel which was formerly a railway hotel (the line no longer reaches Dornoch). It is a Shearings Holiday Hotel with a Scottish Tourist Board 2 star rating.

Unique Qualities: I found it to be a very comfortable, clean and friendly hotel and must have been wonderful in Victorian times. Just off the hall was a coal fire burning every day, a wonderful wide staircase and on the front of the hotel a conservatory had been added from which you could look on to the Dornoch Golf Course and the beach.
