Its developed infrastructure, advantageous location on the coast of the Finnish Gulf on the Baltic Sea, and the reputation of its great cultural and tourist center make this city particularly attractive to foreign and Russian investors
My pictures are not of culture highlichts, because you can find much better pictures by surfing on the internet. I try to show you "own-made" shots of which I hope you will be enjoyed with. On our 4 days trip we got rain every day, but it was worthwhile

Lovely page. This is a place I really must go to. I loved the film Russian Ark so much (filmed in the Hermitage.)
It's a bit disconcerting to read that you "Have hardly seen a smile on a face" -- do you have any idea why nobody smiles? Their city looks really interesting, so it can't be that.
If the Nikioleavsky Palace is the palace owned by Prince Yusopov, I was one of the first 6 people to visit it after restoration. its wonderful.
