I’ve read pretty enough about this castle, before going to Loire valley and I knew that I really wanted to see it. And when I saw it, I came to conclusion, this was the most gorgeous of all the castles I’ve seen so far. I may say this is the castle of all castles. Of course, to get more interesting pictures, I went there at evening, when it was getting darker. Getting to the place where the pictures were taken was very interesting, but later as I saw, I wasn't the only one, who knew that secret road. As many castles in Loire valley, this also is illuminated in summer time evenings and it was fantastic to see how the lights are changing as it gets darker. It seemed that a private party was going on, and changing of lights was accompanied by music. Next morning I visited inside of the castle. |

Mikebond Fri Jul 27, 2007 17:30 UTC Did you visit the chateau de Chambord? That is the "castle of the castle" for me, but this one is wonderful, too. Btw, the name of the village is "Chenonceau" but they say "Chateau de Chenonceaux" (with -x), I don't know why. Great tips! | LanaFromRiga Mon Oct 10, 2005 12:31 UTC Vai, cik skaisti! |
