"~Beatty~" Beatty by Yaqui
Beatty Travel Guide: 19 reviews and 38 photos
Beatty found life around the early 1900's when it was the main hub for supplies for the Bullmining District that was brought in by trains. Now it serves as one of the main focal points into the beautiful Death Valley State Park. Beatty has plenty of hotels, some restauarants, bars, casino and a really neat museum. Lots of wonderful town folk who are laid back and friendly too!
- Pros:Has services~
- In a nutshell:A little oasis in the desert~

Would love to visit Death Valley one day! I really like your photos of the old ruins in particular - very haunting structures
Never been to Death Valley. Beatty sounds like a lovely little town tho.
Your knowledge of the INdian cultures that thrived here is interesting and the museum looks like it holds good treasures.
Hi, Dee!~ You are good at taking great trips!~ Good for you!~
That must have been a sad day when they turned off the electricity in 1914. I hope they have turned it back on again since then. (Sounds like a good area to set up solar energy panels.)
I'll be in Beatty around April 22. Great tips and help, Yaqui. You're going to be my "life saver" on that trip, smiles...
You always treat us with unusual yet quite interesting places, Dee. This is no exception. I loved the Goldwell exhibit. The spot to eat made me smile.
Lovely place to explore :-)
always look forward to your new material. goldwell exhibit is fascinating, love to see more of that. as for the burros, here in the northeast deer kill an astounding number of people and wreck all sorts of vehicles - run into the headlights. nice page. n.
